Let me start by saying that this rifle is beautiful. Probably the finest fit and finish of any rifle I own. The wood has a nice grain, good matte finish, and is slightly proud in all metal interfaces. The checkering is great, sharp and has almost a hand cut look to it. Flawless bluing and machining. The case hardening is very well done, and the lever has the case hardened finish as well, unlike a case hardened Pedersoli that i have. The takedown threads were extremely tight the first time I tried it, had to use a pillow in a vise to hold the stock while rotated the forend with both hands. No big deal, I’d much rather have it a little tight than too loose and wobbly. I typically only take it down to clean the barel by the chamber end anyway. I only have about 50 rounds through it but it feeds flawlessly and the sights were dead on out of the box. No problem ringing a 10″steel at 100 yards. Yes it has a tang safety, but if I have to have one, the tang is a far better place to have it than a crossbo…
