This is a slightly altered version of Winchesters pre-64 model 70. It is a good rifle that matches or exceeds anything else on the market in function, reliability and durability. “Pretty” does not count to an experienced shooter. It is, however, attractive. The fit is acceptable and the finish excellent. Accuracy has several components. Anyone not getting groups they like with this rifle should look first to the ammunition, sighting system or the finger pulling the trigger, not the weapon.
